It is true, my life began at a really young age. I was born in 1949 in Tift County Georgia. My home is in Turner County for all these years. It was discovered when I was a child that I had a medical problem called [Myositis Ossificans Progressiva / FOP] or for our understanding, Intensified Calcium Deposits. This condition never slowed my enjoying my childhood years, thanks to My mother and dad. It was age 9 or so that the condition really began to create any major problems. I had fallen from a tree and broke my left elbow. When the cast came off, the arm was frozen in the shape it was in the cast. Calcium had grown in the elbow and froze it. This began what would turn out to be an interesting life of learning to adapt with the help of my mom, dad, brother, sister, and friends. Thankfully the arm was the only joint that was effected in a major way for several years. In my junior high years, it began to form in my hip joint, which caused me to limp a bit. I still played basketball and other sports, even with the limp. I was blessed to get through my high school years with only the hip being frozen to cause the limp. In 1967 during a summer revival at Bethel Baptist Church, I surrendered my heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes I was born again, [SAVED]. It was the same year I graduated from high school. Having the problem with calcium, and not being able to go off to school, I approached a businessman in Ashburn, Mr. Royce Hanner who owned and operated Hanner TV. He was very receptive to having me come to his shop each day to work with him, so I could learn about electronics. I was Blessed to go to Hanner TV until about 1970, learning and understanding more than I ever could have about electronics without his help.. It wasn't until 1970 that the calcium began forming in the other leg and hip, which forced me to start using crutches. This was certainly a time of major adjustment as I learned how to use the crutches. After the Hanner TV time, I worked briefly with Lloyd TV, continuing my electronics knowledge. The Lord Blessed that I was involved working with the youth in several churches from 1972 through 1976. While being confined to the wheelchair stopped many of my activities, I immersed myself in studying an obtaining an amateur radio license. Today I hold the highest class amateur radio license available. Becoming involved in the amateur radio hobby and electronics brought me into the computer hobby in 1977-78. Through the years I have learned everything I can about computers. I participated in developing the transmission of data through radio in 1985. It was during this time I first experienced the internet as it existed back then. When the world wide web as it is known today first started I began teaching myself about building web pages and learning how all I could. Today I am still learning every day. With what I learned about building my own web pages, I started building web pages for local business. I also have enjoyed helping others with computer questions. I learned with people helping me. I started a new ISP or internet access company in 2003, with access numbers in most major cities in the USA. It is a low cost way to have internet access with great, dependable service.
